St Rose’s was founded by the Dominican nuns in April 1967 and our chaplaincy team, led by Mrs Swami and Mrs Quinn, is dedicated to continuing the work started by them. The Dom Squad are our school’s spiritual leaders, who follow the teachings of St Dominic by spreading the word of Jesus through prayer, study, service and their work within the community.

Our Dom Squad have had a busy start to the year, taking an active role in the prayer and worship life of our school. They have supported our Welcome Mass and helped with our special assembly for St Carlo Acutis and the visit of his relics The Dom Squad also helped to lead our Harvest Liturgy. We are very proud of the way they are growing as young faith leaders and encouraging others to participate in the Catholic life of our school.

Work carried out by the Dom Squad:
The Dom Squad have played an active role in our school’s worship life, helping to lead both our Welcome Mass and our Harvest Liturgy.
The children went to St Mary’s and St Joseph’s Church to venerate the relics of special saints, deepening their understanding of our faith tradition.
During the month of Remembrance, they demonstrated their commitment to service by selling poppies to our school community.

Formed in 2016, as part of the Diocese of Westminster's Academy Strategy, we provide a collaborative structure of school support and innovation for Catholic schools in South West Hertfordshire. Our vision of an 'Outstanding Education for All' comes from this desire to enable all members of school communities to flourish and succeed and to do all that we can to make our schools places where ambition for all is at the heart of everything that we do.
